Now what happens too, if you apply thermal paste, install cooler, remove cooler and re-install it (because you forgot a case fan, or you need to do so to fit a RAM stick, etc) you need to RE-APPLY thermal paste. In some jobs where customer brings you his PC, where initially you don't have anything to do with CPU, but he may state in mail that he was a customer from your Uncle (so early - mid game), make sure you check thermal paste, due to your Uncle forgetting it, so the PC comes without thermal paste. If there was thermal paste missing, it was only on me, and I have never seen a bug with that.
I'm lvl30 since a very very long time, I restarted career mode 4-5 times between now and somewhere in early access, and I still do it occasionally. There is no shame to forget thermal paste here and there. That way, you can revert back, apply thermal paste, and continue without hits on stars ratings. First and foremost, make an habbit to save (caps for emphasis, not shouting) BEFORE you give back PC's to customers.
